Gizzy is one of a number of cats at Furby’s Half Way House who absolutely adore people, but aren’t too keen on other cats. Gizzy would make the perfect companion cat for someone looking for a feline friend they can enjoy long long nights in front of the TV or smooches on the bed!
Gizzy was originally rescued from Greenville where she was scheduled for euthanasia. She is only a few years old, spayed, is fully up to date with her vacinations and FeLV and FIV negative. She is also microchipped which gives is a clue that she was once a much loved pet, and found her way to Greenville Animal Care Services through no fault of her own.
Gizzy has also indicated that she may prefer the indoor life, but may appreciate access to a safe outdoor area once she is settled in her new home (after all, few people chip an indoor only cat). Gizzy just loves human company and will gladly sleep on or close to you on the sofa.
Looking after a single cat is quite a responsibility, since the onus falls to the owner to be their cats sole source of entertainment – this is especially true of indoor only cats. Before adopting a companion/lap cat you need to consider carefully whether it’s the right type of cat for you. However switched on rescue will help match propsective adopters to the cats in their care, taking account of the lifestyle and preferences of the adopters.
